Business Challenge:

A leading Retailer with a strong Private Label portfolio identified Product Claims as a critical, yet underleveraged, growth opportunity. While their brand was well-regarded, Claims were not consistently developed or deployed in a way that could compete with National Brands. The organization needed to build internal capability and embed Claims thinking into their go-to-market processes to drive sustained share growth.


Solution:

Shopper1st designed and delivered a Claims Training Workshop tailored to the needs of both Marketing and Product Development teams. The session focused on the psychology of effective Claims, best practices from across industries, and how to integrate Claims into innovation and launch plans. We also established a research framework for testing and qualifying Claims to ensure only the most persuasive and differentiated messages reached market.


Impact:

The organization has since applied Claims strategies across multiple featured products within its Private Label portfolio. Claims are now embedded into the product development process, creating a consistent, repeatable approach to competing with—and beating—National Brands. The training built long-term organizational muscle, turning Claims from a tactical afterthought into a strategic growth driver.
